Ben Shapiro EDUCATES College Professor On Why Millennials Are Delusional

The problem is, 100 years ago we had zero taxes, and yet we had ROADS railways, school, etc. we have double taxation which is against the law, we have income tax federal and state, sales tax, gift tax, property tax, gains taxes, social security taxes, welfare taxes, you get taxed on your income, then you go to buy a car and they tax you on the car, then you pay licensing and taxes on your car, then one day you sell your car and they tax you as though its "income" (which is double taxation which is theft and illegal) then you take that money and purchase a home and pay sales tax and property tax (3 times on the same dollar now) and if you sell too soon you pay capital gains (quadruple tax)... now lets recall that we had a revolution and became our own nation when the British tried to implement a 3% tax on our tea only...

Shapiro is a really smart guy and I value a lot of what he is sharing with us. He is very good at logical thinking and debating and I agree with him on many things. He also clearly has no connection whatsoever to the problems of people not making enough with their jobs to make a decent living and help themselves out of a bad situation. He says we should all tackle that problem but than never says anything about it and imagines the money to change some of that has to come from anywhere but the big earners in the economy. Guess what, that is intellectually dishonest. He would most likely blame the ineffitient government for these problems but doesn´t accoutn in the fact that big money is fucking with the efficiency of government to support the people for a long long time already. Also he seems a little delusional about the negative effects of uncontrolled kapitalism. He is right that kabitalism beats out sozialism by a long shot but he won´t admit to any of the clearly bad effects of kapitalism gone wild without any restrictions. If he could ease up a little to other viewpoints and maybe gather some different experiences it could really make him a true intellectual leader. Right now he seems intellectually to narrow minded on more than one topic.

Hard to win for either side since they both have something in common which is, i believe, the same evil/corruption has influences on both sides. Itll never truly matter whether democratic or Republican. Push one side far enough people will blame and get tired of it and then push the other oh now it's fixed,... nope same people hiding at the top of the pyramid with their hands in every dish. As long as we keep blaming sides we won't see the true enemies who deserve the blame and are cause of most evil in this world. Diversion tactics.

The middle class is struggling? Well sort of, but it's mostly self imposed. Considering I see the many middle and lower class people drinking $5 coffees everyday, driving new cars, expensive cable bills and cell phone bills, buying tons of crap on Amazon, getting expensive tattoos, guns, drinking, smoking, gambling, all expensive hobbies. Social media makes people buy more crap to keep up with others and advertising has gone up a million fold online..... planting the idea of consumerism more and more. Also, a lot of people have student debt and college isn't for everyone! Not sure why everyone keeps telling all these kids they gotta go to college... We aren't all going to be doctors and lawyers and don't all have parents with a college fund. I only went because I had scholarships, otherwise I would have just went to a city or junior college, then transfer credits to a state school for the last 2 yrs or studied at a European school for free....or went to the military. We still need people working in construction, production lines, technical trades.....these jobs pay just fine, some extremely good, if you aren't living an extravagant lifestyle beyond your means like so many people are. A lot of people aren't budgeting at all and have zero work ethic. I understand some people have health issues or mental issues so they struggle but that's not a big portion of people.... usually it's poor life choices.

To put this debate in perspective they are both talking about the same thing. Consider this analogy: You two different drivers each drives the same car on a different shift. Each driver is paid based on how quickly and efficiently they arrive at their destination. The first driver is honest, careful and skilled. Shows concern for the safety of other drivers and pedestrians. He stays under the speed limits and obeys the laws of the road. He arrives at his destination on time and without incident. The second driver now takes over. Intent on making as much money as possible, he goes way over the speed limit, weaves in and out of traffic hitting several other cars and sending some into the ditch. He also endangers many pedestrians trying to cross the road and even kills a few. He arrives in half the time of the first driver and makes twice as much money because he made the trip in less time. The car is our economy, the drivers are the government/corporations. The lesson here is, in a system where we have honest government and corporate leadership it works great and everyone benefits. The same system run by dishonest and corrupt politicians and corporate leaders results in disaster and suffering. Ben is making the argument based on the good driver. Cenk is making the argument based on the bad driver. The conclusion is that the system is not inherently bad, it was designed to be good for everyone. What makes it bad is when corrupt people are running it. So stop voting for the people who are trying to destroy it and those who enable them.

I was born in the 60's and started working at 12 in strawberry fields. Babysat at 13 and was cleaning motel room at 16 as well as working in an office and spent 3 summers (age 16-18) working with the school janitors at the high school getting it ready for school At 21 I was a nanny and worked at a small grocery store for $3.35 an hour I was married at 22, my husband was 19. We had a child at 20 & 23 and purchased our first home 2 years later Our daughter is 31, no job no home ( she lives here) and no children, although she's thinking about it now. She has moved out 3 times but like most of her friends, just can't figure life out. I don't know what the problem is, except I didn't feel like I had a choice. You moved out when you were 18 and you had your crap figured out because no one was going to do it for you Now all these generations are convinced that they don't have to do anything they don't want to do and take jobs they don't like It's a problem

The average life expectancy in 2018 was ~82 years old. I'm not even 20 yet but I feel like times are different now than 50 years ago as you could make the comparison that "Oh, 400 years ago people were 15 and married and had their lives set." It just doesnt seem like a strong argument because times change.

Intriguing. Whoever published this obviously likes Cenk Uygur at least as much as Ben Shapiro. I have a lot of time for Shapiro — though his simplistic take on the privatisation of knowledge was almost as irritating as his apparent belief that Europe teeters on the brink of collapse under the sheer weight of Humanities, Socialism and Sharia. So it was heartwarming, at the end, to see him apparently trounced by a few choice observations from Uygur. If the two were competing for public office, I know which way I would vote.

Sadly it is isn't just in college. They start try to condishening our kids in Middle school and high school! If you have two very conservative kids and they have liberal teachers they really try to push their beliefs on our kids. I have two very conservative kids and I have had to fight for my kids against liberal teacher. I will give you one example. My 16 year old son was asked to write a paper on why he did not believe in the big bang theory. He used the Bible and wrote a very good paper as to why he did not believe in the BBT. The teacher gave him an "F" and wrote in big red letters God is a myth and refused to grade the paper so I had to take the paper to our BOE and have it graded and he got an A- because he had a few run on sentences. The teacher was wrote up for not grading the paper and writing God is a myth on his paper. This was in middle school. Listen to your kids and pay attention to what they are being taught. Fight for you children. He did what he was asked to do write why he didn't believe in it. His answer offended the teacher. So the teacher offened him and his beliefs.

I hear a lot of the mantra of "hard work, good work ethic, and perseverance" however that is not the full truth. Hard work still only gets you so far on certain paths. My father and myself have been electricians for the majority of both of our lives, we both work very hard and almost kill ourselves (my father almost succeeding at times, now on disability due to the damage to his body). The prevailing wage for any electrician is around $26 an hour. But the median cap for electricians in Arizona is actually about 18-20 depending on experience. You can work as hard as you want until you meet the dead end of you given career path. Sure you might say "well change your career path and work harder to get a better job and make more money" however that isn't the reality. When you are born to a poor family, raised in a blue collar family that doesn't have a college education, and doesn't have the capability to send you to college and support you past high school than you are almost certainly stuck with lower wage jobs and career options for the rest of your life unless you find an in. I myself quit working in the field and tried to get a job working in electronics engineering or some kind of design job. Its something I am good at. Do you think someone would hire me? Nope, 230 job applications later and no replies. I continue to try though. So far nothing. They tell me i should go back to doing electrical because of my work experience. I never went to college because I couldnt afford it. I did go to community college but an associates degree gets you NOTHING except a massive debt. Go figure. So i tried starting my own business, ive been doing it for over a year now. Not much money but enough to pay bills. But the government wont recognize it because i have to be in business for 2 years at least to qualify for anything. Lets not even start on the taxes and fees and money needed to run a business. Its not easy when you start with nothing. Systems are in place to keep people down. Dont tell me 'hard work' is all it takes. It takes money and friends to make shit happen. If you dont have that then you are SOL.

Income inequality DOES matter. It's not as simple as comparing a poor person to Bill Gates. Unemployment is LOW! People are working. And these people are making much less than what people before them made (obviously on an inflation-adjusted basis) with the same skills, performing the same jobs. And many of these people are paying off student debt with monthly payments that are the same as the mortgage of a small house. The generation before them didn't have that problem. And you can't blame KIDS for thinking/wanting to go to college thinking they're going to make it. Don't know unless you try. Not to mention the fact that you grow up thinking you NEED to go to college. So basically Ben Shapiro is a clown.

Tell the truth according to the time. If you dont make something for yourself, you are not likely to find decent work. Trickle down economics didn't work with Reagan for a very good reason... It gives the money to the rich so they can get richer. It would work if the Rich passed the money along, but it will never work that way. People are naturally greedy and will keep it for themselves. Actually, trickle down economics created more problems of it's own and problems that we are still dealing with today. Why does a CEO of a company make 400x's what a typical worker makes? 35yrs ago, CEO's only made 30x's which is still a lot; however, not exorbitant like in today's market.
